Don’t Be a Dropout Roseville

Did you grow up with Grease?

Yes – it’s Frankie Avalon for one night only at the Rocklin Quarry Park on September 8th.

Your story sad to tell,
A teenage ne’er do well,
Most mixed up non-delinquent on the block.
Your future’s so unclear now,
What’s left of your career now?
Can’t even get a trade in on your smile.
Beauty school dropout,
No graduation day for you.
Beauty school dropout,
Missed your mid-terms and flunked shampoo.
Well at least you could have taken time,
To wash and clean your clothes up.
After spending all that dough,
To have the doctor fix your nose up.
Baby get movin,
(Better get movin)
Why keep your feeble hopes alive?
What are you provin?
(What are you provin)
You’ve got the dream but not the drive.
If you go for your diploma you could join the steno pool.
Turn in your teasin’ comb and go back to high school!

Rocklin’s Quarry Park is the newest entertainment venue in the Sacramento area and has presented country, rock, pop and symphonic music this summer.

Never shy about hosting a party, the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 71st year of operation and look ahead to the next one at its annual installation dinner Jan. 31 at the Timber Creek Ballroom.

Each year the installation event gives the chamber a chance to install its new officers and board members before a public audience at a sit-down dinner, and recognize people who contributed something in the 12 months prior. More

Roseville lightens up on outdoor watering restrictions

Let the water flow again.

This week the city of Roseville reduced its restrictions on outdoor watering. The decision comes roughly one month ahead of schedule as improved drought conditions have left local water sources unusually robust.

The one-day-a-week watering restrictions were implemented in 2015 in response to an executive order from Gov. Jerry Brown. The state mandate is based on season and weather conditions.
